The Mason Gross Extension Division is proud to announce that we have hired two teaching assistants for our Design Intensive this summer: Jocelyn Orante and Anaelle Gamanho! Both are welcome additions to our growing faculty for this summer’s camps and intensives. Their biographies are listed below!
Jocelyn Orante is an incoming third-year design student at Mason Gross, where her interests range from typography to application development. She is currently the Corporate Art intern at Johnson & Johnson, and is a graphic designer for student-run publications The Rutgers Review and Trim Magazine. Jocelyn also serves as a visual arts representative for the Mason Gross Student Governing Association.
Anaelle Gamanho is a senior student in the undergraduate Visual Arts program at Mason Gross and is concentrating in Design. She is currently a Graphic Design intern at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University and also a research assistant working closely with one of Mason Gross’s design professors through Rutgers’ Arresty Research Center. Anaelle worked as a teaching assistant last summer for the Design Intensive program and looks forward to doing so once again.
The Rutgers Design Intensive
The Rutgers Design Intensive seeks to develop skills in graphic design for motivated high school artists. Created and supervised by Mason Gross faculty, the curriculum focuses on core principles of design while also introducing relevant software. The course includes focused studio work, technical demonstrations, group critiques, and a field trip to New York City. The Intensive runs from July 11 to July 22nd, 2016, and is intended for high school students aged 14-18. The Intensive is commuter only.
